There Will Be Bowling

Greystone Mansion opens occasionally for tours. I’m standing in the mansion’s iconic bowling alley, featured in the last scene of Paul Thomas Anderson’ There Will Be Blood (2008). The film is inspired by Upton Sinclair’s 1927 novel, Oil!, which in turn was based loosely on Edward Doheny’s story, which includes the sensational murder of his son Ned in Greystone.
